Last year, she threw a barbecue to celebrate her big 18th birthday and this year, it seems, that Selena Gomez is kicking it low key for her 19th birthday.
"I think my mom has planned something for me," the actress/singer told E! News earlier this week. "I didn't really ask for anything, so I'm basically just going to be at tour rehearsal during the day. Maybe go to dinner at night with my family. Pretty boring."
So, what does Bieber have in store for her? "I actually think he'll be in Atlanta," Gomez said. "But that's OK. We all gotta work." It's nice to see that's she so understanding of Bieber's absence, but this just means he's got to get her something good to make up for it.
Since we already suggested yesterday that Bieber might want to learn needlepoint on his summer vacation, a handmade gift might make for the perfect "I'm Sorry I Missed Your Birthday" present, but we've always been under the old-school assumption that diamonds are a girl's best friend. Since she's turning 19, 19 dozen roses would also make for quite a spectacular sight.

Lady Gaga Responds to Bette Midler's Mermaid Rip-Off Allegations/Lejdi Gaga ukralla ideju Bette Midler

Lady Gaga has responded to Bette Midler's suggestion that the pop star copied a stage act she invented decades ago, without giving her due credit. And the battle of the wheelchair mermaids continues!

If you're just tuning into this battle of the shell-boobed sea creatures, here's the scoop -- Round One: Gaga takes to the stage during a Sydney concert outfitted as a latex-finned mermaid in a wheelchair and is promptly blasted by disability rights activists for "exploitation for shock value."

Round Two: Bette Midler takes to her Twitter page (who knew 65-year-olds had Twitter accounts?) to personally put Gaga on blast and expose her for her copying ways. Turns out Bette invented the exact same bit back in 1980 and performed it regularly for years.

Which brings us to the latest -- Gaga has responded to Bette's beef, claiming she was completely unaware that the veteran entertainer pulled the same stage stunt 30 years before her. Gaga tells Access Hollywood, "I had no idea that she did that and I'm a huge Bette Midler fan."

Gaga continues, "[It was] not [a Midler tribute] in the beginning ... because I didn't know that she'd done [it], but I do now and I think it's great. Obviously I feel connected to women in theater and women from the past."

Gaga adds, "Maybe we're just cut from the same cloth. I couldn't hop around in that tail so I just stuck myself in a wheelchair. All I'll say is that I admire her and find her to be one of the most brilliant and incredible performers, so that's all I'll say." The defense rests.

Iz Hogvortsa stiže nešto novo?

 Autorka romana o Hariju Poteru pokrenula je "misteriozni" novi sajt i zagolicala maštu stotina hiljada fanova.    

Džoana K. Rouling ovih dana je predstavila sajt "Pottermore", na kome se nalazi samo poruka "uskoro" i njen potpis. Naravno, stotine hiljada obožavalaca Harija Potera i družine iz Hogvortsa pohrlilo je na sajt, a Internet su preplavile teorije o tome šta će Roulingova uskoro predstaviti.

Slike sova na sajtu vode na YouTube kanal autorke, na kom piše da će Roulingova za nekoliko dana dati "veoma važno obaveštenje".

Spisateljica je nedavno rekla da će se u budućnosti zabaviti drugim projektima, i da nije sigurna da li će ikada pisati još nešto o Hariju Poteru, ali novim sajtom podgrejala je interesovanje fanova i nade da priča iz Hogvortsa još uvek nije gotova.

Poslednji deo filmske sage, "Hari Poter i relikvije smrti 2", stiže u svetske bioskope 15. jula.

Uzvici poput uaaa i buuuu sinoć su se orili za vreme nastupa Ejmi Vajnhaus u Beogradu. Britanska soul zvezda u našem glavnom gradu neslavno je otpočela svoju svetsku turneju, a neki domaći mediji ovaj koncert već su proglasili za “najgori koncert ikada održan u Beogradu”.
Mrmljanje tekstova, pogrešan tonalitet, zaustavljanje muzike u sred pesme, odlaženje sa bine i teturanje su repertoar za koji smo mislili da ga više nikada nećemo videti od strane popularne pevačice. Ipak, kako sve upućuje Ejmi se uprkos svim dosadašnjim rehabilitacijama vratila svojim starim demonima, narkoticima i alkoholu, što se moglo videti po njenom sinoćnjem nastupu.
Ono što je beogradsku publiku takođe jako razočaralo je činjenica da pevačica čak nije ni znala u kom je gradu, pa ja na početku koncerta rekla “Dobro veče Atina”.
Popularni američki muzičar koji je nastupao nakon nje, a za čiji nastup svi imaju samo reči hvale, Mobi, takođe je bio razočaran, ali i zabrinut za svoju koleginicu, pa je na Twitteru napisao:
“Nastupam na festivalu u Srbiji sa Ejmi Vajnhaus, a ona je na bini, mrmlja. Može li neko da joj pomogne? Ovo je srceparajuće”…”Ne poznajem Ejmi Vajnhaus, ali se iskreno nadam da će neko njoj blizak da reaguje i pomogne joj. Ovo je zaista srceparajuće.”
